In the rural community of Gaa Musa in Nigeria, families thirst for water. Here, access to water is critically limited and most of the people residing in this community do not have access to safe drinking water. Community members confirm things are better during the rainy season because when it rains, at least they can get contaminated water accumulated in septic tanks. During the dry season, even this source is no longer available. They must spend hours every day walking in search of water. Globally, a child dies from a waterborne illness every 90 seconds.
